Ecstatic Dance Honoka‘a is back with another special Saturday Evening Dance on Saturday, March 18, 2023.
We invite you to move with us on “Honoka‘a Green & Gold Day” as we celebrate Spring Equinox and promote Hō‘ā & Hāmākua Harvest’s Aloha ‘Āina Spring Equinox Planting (Sunday, March 19), and Hawai‘i Farmer’s Union United.
Facilitating this dance, we’re honored to host one of the Big Island’s dance music pioneers, Odysseus.
From what we gather, Odysseus has something very unique planned for us, as he will be accompanied by special guests performing alongside him during his set. Joining him for this dance are Samantha Smith, Marika Ripke, Hayden Spector, and Michael Drummer.
We can’t wait to see what he has up his sleeve!

From the original full moon parties at Kua Bay to the latest renegade event at Makalawena, at every outdoor and indoor location on Hawai‘i Island, Ender is a constant in the dance community.
The original trance provider has made a complete evolution through the development of weekly, monthly, and yearly events like PZ, Garden Temple Ecstatic Dance, Out the Box in Kona, and an ever-growing stream of personally promoted events and collaborations.
His current monthly offering is something beyond Ecstatic Dance, something mellower than Bee Dance. The Dream Dance at Around the Kava Bowl in South Kona is a family-friendly dance event that features an ever-rotating list of local musical talents who present continuously variable styles of elevated dancefloor opportunities.
Ender is adventurous with his sets and is not afraid to push the limits and romp through genres of all types to create sonic alchemy for dancefloor enthusiasts to play and create in. He brings the stoke when sharing his musical magic for all the dancers looking to elevate their vibes, and elevate their lives through communal dance.
AMANDA ROSE (Yoga + Sound Bath)
Back once again to grace us with her warm and delightful presence Amanda Rose will be sharing her yoga practice before dance and conducting the sound bath bringing us back to the ground and closing up the container.
Amanda Rose has been a yoga student for 16 years and a certified teacher for nearly a decade. Her classes are rooted in the yin and hatha styles, and she brings sound healing, pranayama, and chakra theory to her offerings. Please bring your mat, towel, water, and other items you use for your practice.
Amanda will also be hosting the closing sound bath. She will bring a blend of instruments and vocal expressions to her sonic creations and a loving presence.
